Default Riding Schools

Hey everyone

Just wanted to know if there're any suggestion on riding schools. Both the wife and I would like to take a riding course instead of doing the dmv thing. Does any one have sugguestion of a good one in or around Knoxville, TN.

I have owned and driven several bikes in the past but I want to go legit, also it wouldn't hurt to get the extra saving on the insurance.

She will need the whole experience thing going on, since the only two times she has driven a bike she dropped it. Poor seca II, it was a little too tall for her.

thanks in advance
manny

Welcome Manny - look into a local MSF course - the course is usually a 3 day affair, and upon completion, you will have a "MC" endorsement on your license.

Check in with any of the local dealerships about the MSF course. They usually have a listing of local courses/dates or at least POCs. For the basic course, they usually provide bikes (for a nominal fee) so if you drop it in the class then it's not your problem.

It sounds like your wife will want the Basic Riders Course and you'll want the BRC2 which used to be called the Experienced Riders Course. Suggest you not take the same class dates as your wife. Having you there may affect her confidence levels. Just drop her off, give her a smooch and leave her to the instructors.

If you google MSF courses one of the first web sites is the main MSF page. You can search your entire area for classes. Around here the Harley dealership and Community college offer it

Not all states will give you the MC endorsement after completion of the MSF course, so you should check your states regulations on that.
